چکیده

As technology enabled new and faster modes of communication among people, it has become increasingly difficult to manage our social contacts effectively. Existing contact management tools lack the support for intelligent analysis of our social interactions. This paper introduces Déjà Vu, an intelligent system of social network agents for managing and analyzing personal social contacts over the web. Déjà Vu is designed to help users record and retrieve contact information by tagging via a simple user interface. In addition, it helps users acquire additional knowledge about their contacts through social computing and tagging analysis. Our preliminary study showed that tagging is a subjective behavior and the proposed social tagging mechanism can compensate for individual differences.

Our approach to improve the security of these systems relies on recognition-based, rather than recall-based authentication. We examine the requirements of a recogni...

Déjà vu in unilateral temporal-lobe epilepsy is associated with selective familiarity impairments on experimental tasks of recognition memory.

In déjà vu, a phenomenological impression of familiarity for the current visual environment is experienced with a sense that it should in fact not feel familiar. The fleeting nature of this phenomenon in daily life, and the difficulty in developing experimental paradigms to elicit it, has hindered progress in understanding déjà vu. Some neurological patients with temporal-lobe epilepsy (TLE) co...
